Do anyone use HDDs from Ebay? What if drive has reallocated sectors?
I'm coming from Unraid. I bought some drives Off ebay, and 1 of them have reallocated sectors (less than a hundred). I kept them running in Unraid, and it didn't increase. Anyone of you have experience with these? Do you immediately remove and replace them? Will Qnap allow you to use them? Plan to use QuTS Hero

Without knowing if the drives are on the compatibility list, I won't say if they will work or not.
But if they do work, you can run "pool scrubbing" to find the bad blocks.https://docs.qnap.com/operating-system/ ... 62307.html
And you can scan individual drives for bad blocks.
Edit:
As far as I know, there is no software limit saying you can't use a drive with more than a certain amount of relocated sectors. But too many relocated sectors can be an indication of a drive about to fail. Will you have your data backed up?
