Quesion about Encryption Engine

I am currently a happy user of the TS-453 PRO. Like other QNAP NAS's I've had this one has been a solid performer for the last 5 years.

Now, it's time for an upgrade and I'm looking at the TVS-672XT.

The biggest pain point I've had so far is around encryption. Since my NAS doesn't have hardware-based encryption, I've decided NOT to use it to encrypt the RAID because I wanted to get the best performance possible. Specifically, the pain point isn't that I'm not using encryption for the RAID, but rather my off-site backups. I have a set of portable hard drives that I back up and store them offsite in a secure location. I have formatted the external drives to use 256 encryption, of course, this really slows down backups.

If I upgrade to a NAS that has an AES-NI encryption engine, will that cause Hybrid-Sync (Backup or Sync) to perform quicker?

Thanks!
