I hate it shows up again after every reboot..
with the annoying note saying there's an update bla bla (for an app I never wanted!!!)
Thanks god the line does the trick again:
setcfg QcloudSSLCertificate Sys_App 0 -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf

The below command can be added to the autorun script to remove the package on reboot.
It is definitely not ideal but it is a good workaround until QNAP decides to change it on their side.

Code: Select all
# Remove QcloudSSLCertificate package
if [ $(/sbin/getcfg QcloudSSLCertificate Enable -u -d NULL -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf) != NULL ]; then
/sbin/rmcfg QcloudSSLCertificate -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf

Don't waste your time with qnap support!
They offer no help and will not remove the crap-ware they force on you!

Re: Remove QTS SSL Certificate app in 4.3.2?
just wondering but is there a downside for this app to be left in app center? yes i also can't seem to remove it, also last time when i could it would reinstall. now seems to be permanent.
but yeah some apps i have installed but disabled but whenever i update sometimes it gets re-enabled. so i usually have to completely remove if i wasn't gonna bother disabling again.

Same procedure for Cloud Backup Sync
# setcfg CloudBackupSync Sys_App 0 -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf
QNAP: PLEASE get this unwanted programs made permanently removable and do not install anything without my explicit order!

Is that safe removing Cloud Backup when using the Hybrid Backup?
The whole idea of mixing those two and forcing us to have 2 apps installed is crazy, but...
