how to back up apps and their configuration?

There is no official way to do that. The quickest solution is to create a shell script that copies the needed files/data from your various apps into a shared folder/subfolder structure. Run this via cron and then backup nightly with HybridBackupSync.

Hello All

I am also looking for a way of doing a full backup of the NAS to restore in case something happens. Last year my nas dropped from around 30xm hich and the disk were mostly destroyed while the NAS itself survived. I took me quite a lot of time to rebuild it and I would like to avoid to do it again. Is there a way we can fully rebuild a NAS from a backup (data and setting and apps etc.. (sort of disk image for a PC).
If Not .. then a message to QNAP teams.. could you include something like that in next realeases of QTS.
