Unrealeased snapshot space

Post by Davidson » Tue Feb 18, 2020 3:07 pm

I have 4 x 1tb ssd drives in a thin raid 10.

The snapshot space consumed all the available capacity the other day and went to read/delete status so I removed all snapshots with the intent to change it to a thick volume. The volume came back online after a restart.

Snapshots are completely disabled however over 500gb of space is still being reported as consumed. There is not snapshots in snapshot manager.

How do I release this space?

Sorry. Yes. Ran the reclaim space, volume scanner and file system check. I also noticed I’ve got a new folder in the root directory _.Share but getting access denied when trying to access.

Also try emptying network recycle bin, and qsync versioning (as applicable).

Could be orphaned snapshot which last time I ran into that I had to mess with ssh commands to clear.

Open a helpdesk ticket with QNAP is probably best option.
