Missing Storage Pool, urgent help

hi all,
Pls help. First of all , please know that I am not technical at all and I may even have done things wrongly all along, but here is my situation which I really hope someone can help.

I have a NAS TS 251A, with 2 Hardrives. Recently I got errors saying Disk 2 is over 50 degrees hot and etc etc, I was to replace it soon, finally yesterday it really failed.
So today i remove it and replaced it with an older hard drive, hoping it will autosync to it so that at least I will have another copy until I get a new drive.
But it kept saying error on volume / pool and will not backup/sync. So I removed disk 2 and reboot the NAD, but now one of my storage pool is MISSING.

So my question is , how can I restore that storage pool back out , should I shut the NAS down now etc ? thank you

all my kids and parents photos are in there ! pls pls help asap

You discovered the hard way why you need external backups at all times.

What was the disk configuration ? RAID1,RAID0, Pooled Single Disks, Spanning JBOD ?

If anything else other than RAID1, you array is bust with a single swapped drive.

external backup as in to backup again with another hard drive ?
it was set as RAID1, so am I hopeful ?

A RAID is not a Backup .. so would done a first backup and NOT another one

are you using the admin account on your NAS to login via SSH? .. with that many permission issues you probably are not .. correct ?

no, I am the only admin user, the other user was disable by my friend

tell your friend to reenable the regular admin user..and run it again
