Synchronise my Win2012 Server with Qnap shared folder

Post by dilaw »

Hi,
I have a shared partition on Windows Server 2012.
Multiple network users open files from their desktops.
I would like to synchronise instantly these files with my qnap TS-431P2, I did that using QSync on windows but when the windows Admin session is disconnected, Qsync does not synchronise files, I need to keep it open and this is not safe.
The advantage of Qsync is that it allow me to know which file has been changed and at what time.

You can try an active Sync backup (pull) or any other backup software of your choice (on the server 2012)

I have never used Qsync but if it is dependent on session- instead of a service level, then you should not use it in any professional environment

Thanks RandomMen for the suggestion,

I found another solution.
I found this helpfull link : https://www.bogotobogo.com/Powershell/H ... r_2012.php
I can now launch Qsync as a service with no need to logon to any session.
Thus, the problem of synchronising opened files is resolved and I got so my historical log of modified files

Thank you guys
