I'm both an Apple (Mac Min M1) and QNAP (TS-453D) noob having come from years of using Wintel and Synology boxes so I sincerely hope this is a simple user error.
On my new Mac Mini M1/Silicon I can't open the QSync client. It downloaded and installed OK, initial set up worked and it's now syncing my main data folders but I can't re-open it to add more folders to sync.

Understood. I was hoping I'd done something wrong with an obvious solution. Strangely when I started the machine again this afternoon the app now shows in the top right next to the clock and progress and all settings are accessible.

I don't have Mac products at home, but as far as I've heard, the M1 processors have an x86 emulation in them, to run the "legacy" stuff as well.

Re: QSync Client Won't Open on Mac Mini M1
I have QSYNC running on a Mac mini M1... no issues seems to work just like on x86 platform. Maybe some basic troubleshooting (remove/reinstall)?

Re: QSync Client Won't Open on Mac Mini M1
I just bought a Mac mini M1 with MacOS Monterey and Qsync installs correctly but I can't open most files in the Qsync folder. I could open some files after removing the com.apple.quarantine attribute on the Qsync App folder and on the Qsync folder but the Info for some files indicates 0 bytes on disk and when I try to open them a pop-up says they are corrupted.
Any one has it working properly? Any tip on how to make this work?
Thanks.
Patrick.

Re: QSync Client Won't Open on Mac Mini M1
Solved it. I had to disable the Space-saving mode or change the setting to Locally available.

I was also able to solve the problem with it. I had to disable the Space-saving mode. Now the documents are local on my mac available. Thanks for the tip.

Re: QSync Client Won't Open on Mac Mini M1
I had the same issue on a Mac and found this thread.
In Finder, the QSync icons were not being displayed against any sync'd files.
I went to System Preferences > Extensions > Finder Extensions
I found that Qsync Finder Extensions was enabled so I disabled it and then enabled it again.
The QSync icons appeared and I could open files that were only stored on my NAS.
