Good morning,
I have 2 NAS in 2 different locations, Office and Home.
I want do a backup from NAS Office to Home NAS without open doors.
Have advised me to use tailscale.
But how do I configure it on the nas?
Another thing: My NAS Office has 4.3.3. firmware version and is not upgrade anymore. It's possible install tailscale without problems?
Thanks.

Re: Tailscale for backup between 2 NAS in different locations
Tailscale is a VPN service from a 3rd party. The personal use is free of charge, but you do not need such a VPN service from 3rd party.
Just setup your own VPN service at each location. Check, if the router at each site is able to setup a VPN.
VPN at NAS is only a workaround, VPN at router is the outstanding solution. 2nd choice should be VPN at a dedicated (mini) server like a raspBerry Pi and using i.e. openVPN.
Doing so, the firmware version of NAS doesnt matter at all.
