have you enabled rsync and the used the guide here?

https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/faq/arti ... sing-rsync

HBS3 is also available for your NAS rather than the really old "backup station"

and???? so use the sync job in HBS3 to move the files to the linux box. https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/tutorial ... ackup-sync

or use "rsync" command from the cli to test the connection works, then use a cronjob to schedule a task on the nas to move the data to the linux box.

this would still work, you just change the target/source around. rsync can be used to push data from NAS to linux/windows boxes too.

Sorry, we again return to the question that I do not need an rsync server on Qnap because how do I copy data from it to the Ubuntu server?

for rsync to work it must be on both target and destination systems. PEROID

I already told you how. if you dont want to listen then dont.

Why creating a new thread for the same question: Automatic backups from TS-269...???

Also: please switch GUI language to English prior creating screenshots fir the forum.

In Opposition to @Toxic17 I prefer the "old" Backup Station at this QTS versions.
Using HBS was a bit buggy, at least at my end. So I did remove HBS and use Backup Station again.

In the video the SMB/CIFS needs be created in "Storage spaces" first, a screenshot from my TS-473A:
storage_spaces.png
Afterwards you can create Jobs. Depending on job type (sync job) the desired storage space can be selected as target or as source.
