Dedicated physical HDD for JUST snapshots on the same NAS

Hi,

Wanted to know if it was possible to configure the snapshots from multiple different volumes on the SAME QNAP NAS unit to ALL be stored on a separate dedicated physical hdd in one of nas bays rather than the snap shots being stored on the same volumes...

I did a little digging around and saw that you are able replicate snapshots to a ANOTHER QNAP NAS but couldn't seem to find any info on do this on the same nas to a different HDD from the source. https://www.qnap.com/en-uk/how-to/tutor ... ot-replica

Is what I'm trying to do possible?... as from the little understanding I have on snapshots and backups it seems to be a somewhat semi duplicate task, my thoughts are, by being able to store snapshots on a seperate drive would provide somewhat of a "hybrid" local backup solution too.

Any advice/knowledge share is appreciated.
