Hi,
I am a computer novice and have a QNAP TS-2284 NAS device that has completely stopped working.
I ideally need somebody computer literate, with a compatible device, who can take the data off my hard drive and give it to me in a format that I can read on a PC or MAC. Most of the data on the drive are photographs.
I live in Welwyn, Hertfordshire and would be willing to drive to North London, Herts, Ess'ex etc. if somebody can help.
Thanks
Graham Cove

Re: NAS device stopped working
1. Always have backups .. a painful or expensive lesson to learn for many (I think I wrote this sentence half a dozen times in the last week alone)
2. If you actually meant a TS-228 (without the 4) then check here for a migration guide to other QNAP NAS
https://www.qnap.com/en/nas-migration?o ... rce=ts-228

A raid is never a substitute for backup! Never!
