Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
I did this:
Updated to 4.3.3.0210
Downgraded GS to 9.9.49 as @karlegas mentioned above, would not connect to my folder
Changed my account in GS config to an admin account - edit, ticker server administrator tick box (im surprised i wasnt an admin already)
Kept the tab open to the GS 9.9.49 webpage (not sure if this is relevant)
Upgraded to 10.4.5 on another browser tab
Refreshed config page tab and it worked
Now it accesses the config page every time from closed
Im trying not to mess with it too much incase it breaks again which knowing GS is highly likely

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
I had also issues opening the Goodsync Config URL on my QNAP NAS after installing the latest Version so I did as below to get that working:
Updated to the latest Firmware 4.3.3.0299
Downgraded GS to 9.9.49 as @karlegas mentioned.
Now I am able to open the Goodsync config via Webbrowser: http://QNAPIP:11000/
Changed my account in GS config to an admin account - edit, ticker server administrator tick box.
Upgraded to 10.4.5 on another browser tab
Refreshed config page tab and it worked
When opening the Web config Page I still see Version: 9.9.49.3 but in the QNAP App Center is says Version 10.5.6 is installed now.
Installed Goodsync on my Windows 10 Computer.
Logged in with my Goodsync account
Configure Goodsync Connect
Now I wonder a few things:
At configure Windows User what should I chose here? Enter my Windows 10 Computer name and User or the QNAP NAS Name and User?
Seems I am doing something wring here. When opening the Web Config and click on "GoodSync Connect Status" I see "Computer ID" "Inactive" there.
As User ID it is shown the Username I used to register at Goodsync. Do I need to create the same User ID on my Windows 10 Computer as a local User or how exactly should that work?

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
Just tried to install GS on my QNAP TS119P device with latest firmware. I also find that the admin page on port 11000 can't be accessed.
I refuse to downgrade etc. If GoodSync can't keep this working without users fiddling around, then it's a no-go for me. Won't use it.

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
I'm with krilbe - when I installed and clicking on the app icon didn't just open the URL (like Resilio sync does), it was a bad sign.
After reading this thread, I'm crossing GoodSync off my QNAP list.
The Windows program still works a treat, though.

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
Sorry to bring back an old thread, but just confirming that GoodSync is off the QNAP list for most people?
Its a shame because on paper it looked a good replacement for CrashPlan?
A second worry is that GoodSync seem to ignore QNAP users and that isn't a good sign either! You would have thought they would have seen an opportunity with Crashplan abandoning personal users?
So, what is the next one I should try on my QNAP?

Hi guys,
GoodSync developer here. I thought I needed to register because not all of you show up on our support system, and there seems to be a problem going on.

This looks like an old thread.
Anyone tried to install version 10.6.6.6 (which is current version, from https://www.goodsync.com/for-nas-qnap)?

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
GsServer for QNAP version 10.6.6.8 has just been released.
There was a bug on x86_64 architecture which is now fixed.
Please report success/failure with new package here.
Package can be found (as usual) at:
https://www.goodsync.com/for-nas-qnap

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
If you are Mike, then we are also connecting via email.
Thank you for your help.
However, I have TS-412 and TS-419P II units both of which use ARM
and so do not benefit from your update, I think.
When other QNAP apps are installed, and the use clicks the 'Open' button
something happens - a UI window or new browser tab.
When gs-server is Opened, just the info panel comes up.
Seems broken to me.

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
Hi Guys, I've been working with the GoodSync guys (Mike!) and I now have this all working on my QNAP TS-453A running latest 4.3.3.0361 firmware.
Using GoodSync 10.6.7.1.qpkg and its up and running.
Now to play with it to see how it goes.
(I would also like to see it on the ARM QNAPs as well so please let us know when that is working)

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
Good news!
Anyone having trouble running GsServer on QNAP x86_64 NAS (Core i3 etc) should try this one:
http://pvt.goodsync.com/pvt/mbolotnikov ... 6.7.1.qpkg
The same package will eventually appear on site (later this week).
I will now work on enabling ARM-powered devices, I hope it won't take too long.

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
ggibby,
You're right, there are no built-in pages for GsServer app.
I need to see how I can embed/link GsServer Web UI to in-app page.

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
ggibby,
1) Did you try going to http://<nas-ip-address>:11000 after installation?
2) After clean install (remove->install) of current 10.6.7.1 (see link above), what the contents of /var/log/gs-server-install.log on device?
I'm asking because I have TS-131 with QTS 4.3.3 and it runs current package just fine

Re: GoodSync QNAP Installation
Version 10.6.7.3 is available from official site at:
https://www.goodsync.com/for-nas-qnap
No changes for ARM yet, sorry.
The latest toolchain QNAP provides for ARM is broken somehow (no headers).
