GoodSync QNAP Installation

Has anyone tried gsync or gs-server (http://www.goodsync.com/for-linux) on QNAP? It's not clear what the difference is between this and the qpkg. I'd like to periodically sync files via sftp, and might be able to do that with gsync if it has the same "runner" capability as the Windows version. I submitted a ticket to GoodSync asking these questions, but have not yet received a credible answer.

I also submitted a ticket without receiving a useful response. After installing the GoodSync qpkg on my TS-251+ about a month ago, it filled up the ramdisk a few hours later, so I gave up on it.

My solution for syncing via sftp was to create an Ubuntu server VM, install sshfs and Unison, and set up a cron job that periodically mounts the remote filesystem, runs Unison to sync it, then dismounts it.

Did anyone find a solution? Mine works before 4.3 but stopped working after upgrading Qnap system to 4.3.

Confirmed to be broken on QTS 4.3.3 running on an 870 pro

Can no longer access the web page interface. Formerly an app stop/start would fix the issue but no longer.... im totally locked out

Has anyone figured this out yet? I have the desktop version of Goodsync and love it but getting the same problem after installing package and trying to go to setup page.

They released a new qnap package today. I uninstalled the old one, installed the new one, and same error trying to get to 192.168.1.xxx:11000.

Im a VERY new QNAP TS251A user and not liking the sync and cloud supplied apps.
I am a Big fan of Goodsync and after hearing it might be possible to run on my NAS I immediately tried installing BUT - i am too having the same issues as most here.

Fingers crossed to a solution soon.

The old version 9.9.49 works with the NAS web gui page.

Version 10.4.5 - May 12, 2017 (NOT WORKS)

Add more platforms: x86, x64, ARM.
All changes from Linux ver 10.4.5.

Version 9.9.52 - Aug 05, 2016 (NOT WORKS)

Fix directory setup, install scripts.
Now it runs on x86_64 and x86, used to be ARM only.

Version 9.9.49 - June 17, 2016 (WORKS)

Single installer for multiple platforms.

Well after put the version 9.9.49 I cannot access to the folders, my login works and explorer show the NAS, but each time I click on the volumes this message appears.

Update I forgot put the NAS user and password in the Goodsync NAS User account interface, this is complicated to see in the GUI

I have noticed that while running the GS server, my HDD NEVER sleeps now. I have confirmed this by disabling GS and waiting for 20 minutes . Pretty sure its normal but sort of annoying too. Have you noticed similar activity?

I have been unable to sync my devices to my NAS in >1month now.
Goodsync seem to have a very limited support team who are unable to keep up with firmware upgrades on different hardware.
Here's the response i got back from support on 15/05

He is referring to the 10.4.5 version which of course doesn't work
I have since contacted them 2 further times with no response. The last message i sent was to tell them i would be asking for a refund if this problem wasn't resolved quickly (>1month without being able to use the software is ridiculous)

by the way i couldnt get 9.9.49 to work on an 870pro running FW 4.3.3
The client could not see my folders correctly through goodsync connect

Still good shout @karlegas, at least someone is attempting to help us (as goodsync are not)

Ok i just updated FW to 4.3.3.0210 today, upgraded GS to 10.4.5 and its working again
Thank god!!!

I have latest firmware 4.3.3.0210 for QNAP and Goodsync Server 10.4.9, but Goodsync Server is not working on my QNAP TVS-682.

@sadsack, can you please explain how it start working for you? because I have tried with Goodsync Server 10.4.5 but same result.
