HBS to B2 does not retain previous versions

Post by 3rdparty »

I was hoping that Hybrid Backup Sync would retain previous versions stored to Backblaze B2 as it's supported by both the B2 API: https://www.backblaze.com/b2/docs/file_versions.html and web interface: https://www.backblaze.com/blog/backblaz ... cle-rules/

According to QNAP Support, HBS deletes any previous version of a file or folder intentionally and then replaces it with the latest version. Support advised to submit a 'feature request' for previous version retention to be added in the future.

So how do you backup (properly with versioning supported / enabled) from QNAP to Backblaze B2?
I'm using the Sync option on HBS and yea it seems to delete and replace any updated files instead of making a new version of them.
