Can I delete files in .@QNAPCloudDriveSyncTempXXX?

Hello all,

I have a TS-563 running QTS 4.2.2. I've been using Hybrid Backup Sync v1.3.170914, the icon says Cloud Drive Sync, which is v1.3.208 (2017/09/14) for backing up files to Amazon Cloud drive. Backup is set to run Continously. However I noticed the size in the above mentioned folder is growing tremendously. The last file created just a week ago is 225 Gb! There's more than half a Tb in that folder alone with some files going back to April of this year.

I have tried to search the forum and can't find anyone asking this. But is it safe to delete files manually from the folder? Let's say only files older than a month? Assuming there are more recent files that were presumably being used in the backup process to determine what to sync.
