Does anyone know what Auto-backup actually does in terms of scheduling? Does it wait until a certain percentage of changes are present?
I created a backup job yesterday, set the schedule to Auto-backup and Backup now. So it ran it's first session, all good. In the 24 hours since, I've made a number of changes / deletions to the files that are backed up, yet the job hasn't run since. Is there any way I can determine when the job will next run?
Thanks,
Mike.

Use schedule?
It’s better in HBS3. Still not as great but an improvement.

Re: HBS3 - What does Auto-backup actually do?
This is HBS3 I'm talking about.
Under schedule in the backup job settings, there's an option for Auto-backup, but there's no help or indication on what it actually does - when, thresholds, etc.
I'm wondering if it's a new option that hasn't been properly implemented yet - or whether my understanding of what it does is missing.

Re: HBS3 - What does Auto-backup actually do?
So this is the response from QNAP support if anyone is interested:
Auto-Backup runs every time the external drive that is the target for the backup is plugged in, so once the backup completes disconnect the drive and when you want to backup the source again attach the target usb drive and the backup will run automatically, the function that monitors files and folders for changes and then backs up the changes to a target is a one way or 2 way sync.

Re: HBS3 - What does Auto-backup actually do?
They must have removed auto-backup. I don't see it under schedule.

Re: HBS3 - What does Auto-backup actually do?
It has to be a Backup task that is using a target of the Local NAS and a USB attached Drive.
note: It only works on my TS-473 if I use the rear USB drive ports. If I use the front auto copy USB port, HBS3 never sees the drive.

Re: HBS3 - What does Auto-backup actually do?
Works well on my TS-253A with my front port.
I like this feature
