Hi there.
I have a TS-431P2 which died and now I'm getting a replacement. I was using 4x4TB HDD which are perfectly fine, they are label so I know which slot had each one and so for.
My question is, when I get the new unit, do I need to do anything special? I'm concern that if I plug the HDDs directly it will do a sort of automatic "first time power up format" of the old hard drives and loose all the information.
Best regards.
Restore same hard disks to another same unit.

for compatible units

only thing to watch out for is to update the new unit to the latest firmware prior to installing your drives (Qfinder should do it)
Also that question is asked several times per week.. please make sure you use the forum search first
