I wonder if anyone else is having similar issues
I synced my files using HBS 3 to Google Cloud Storage. Sync executed successfully without any errors or warning but I noticed that the summary page informed me that the job has filtered over 1.8k files out although no filters have been setup.
Has anyone else seen similar behavior ?
Are they global filters that get applied to all sync jobs ?
I did submitted a support ticket but hoping there is a simple solution to see.

No. Plenty of Skipped files are normal and expected but not filtered files.
I'm not using any cloud services though, only other servers.
RAID have never ever been a replacement for backups. Without backups on a different system (preferably placed at another site), you will eventually lose data!
A non-RAID configuration (including RAID 0, which isn't really RAID) with a backup on a separate media protects your data far better than any RAID-volume without backup.
All data storage consists of both the primary storage and the backups. It's your money and your data, spend the storage budget wisely or pay with your data!

Ok I found my issue. I had selected not to sync hidden files and folders. Those files and folders are counted towards the filter number. Once I deselected that options my filter number went down to zero.

Technically it is okay to count filtered files, although, it would be less confusing if the job overview would have a row telling, filtered hidden files and folders and this would then end the confusion. I also was trying to find out what does this mean and I also have now enabled to backup the hidden files and folders.
It is the complexity of the things that makes things so overcomplex.
