How to back up home folder with HBS3? (It's missing)

New QNAP user here. Just set up my TVS-472XT.

I noticed that the installation process adds some default folders: home, homes, Web, Public.

The home folder seemed like a logical place to put my files, so that is what I started to do. Then I launchd HBS3 to set up an automated backup of my files, and here I ran into a problem. When I select "Create New Backup Task" it gives me a file tree of folders to choose from on the local source. But the home folder is not there, so how do you create a backup of it in HBS3?

In File Station I noticed that exploring the properties of these 4 system generated folders showed the home folder to have slightly different permissions, and it's not marked as a "shared folder". Can HBS3 only back up shared folders? I feel like I must be missing something obvious here because backing up the home folder would seem like it should be a simple thing to do.

Additionally, if you go to the section to adjust permissions of shared folders, the home folder is not in the list of shared folders. It just has homes, Web and Public.

Per QNAP docs "When a home folder is created, the user's home folder appears as a shared folder called home". Mine seems to have appeared as a home folder, sure, but for some reason it doesn't seem to have appeared as a shared folder.
