Mirroring Windows 10 folder to QNAP NAS

Post by sjwestra »

Hello,

I would like to mirror some Windows 10 folder to my QNAP NAS. When I remove a file from the Windows 10 folder, it should be removed from the QNAP NAS as well.

QNAP NetBak Replicator seems to support only backups, not mirrors. So when I remove a file from the Windows 10 folder, NetBak Replicator will not remove it from the QNAP NAS (which is undesirable).

Which mirroring application is available for Windows 10 and supports mirroring to my QNAP NAS? It doesn't have to be real time, I prefer to create mirrors on a daily base.

Thanks in advance,

SJW

PS I used to use SyncBack for this purpose, but that application ignores my local OneDrive folders...so I'm looking for a reliable QNAP application now.

Hi Erminio,

Thanks!

I would like to avoid syncing with the cloud and using MyQnapCloud for this purpose. The OneDrive files are already ‘cloud vulnerable’ so I want to make a mirror within my own netwerk from PC to NAS.

Thanks anyway!

qsync does not use cloud.Simply install qsync on windows, configure the directory that you want syncronize on your Nas an you are done. Not external cloud only windows and the nas

Ah! I wasn't aware of that, I thought it required MyQnapCloud…

Thanks a lot!
