TS 859 Pro+ - Lost files...

Post by Laserphile007 »

I recently experienced a power outage which made my mapped network drives on my NAS disappear. I was also unable to log I to my NAS, even when resetting password with a pin. Soo.....I searched online and found the following tutorials which I followed...

1. I shh I to my NAS and reset to factory defaults. This included turning NAS off, removing drives carefully...restarting with no drives, updating firmware etc.

2. I then carefully placed each drive 1 through 8 back into same bay (no mixing up) and waited for green lights and everything to come alive again.

3. I carefully followed instructions re NOT selecting the re-initializing button and therefore erasing data....

BUT...even after doing all this I cannot see any data at all....and when I log into the NAS, while all drives are showing as OK and healthy, they say they are UNMOUNTED.

I have over 10yrs of family movies, kids photos etc. Any help would be incredibly well received.

you'll probably need to recreate the share folders then you'll see the files.

To be clear on this, the Power outage more than likely damaged his RAID. Having a UPS backup would have saved the user having this issue in the first place.
