Mess with qdff backups

Post by coaxx »

I know there is a Video and info on Qnap site how to restore from QuDedub Backups:

None of them seem to work well for me.

1. Restore via HBS3 App on Qnap
Looks like the default method, gives some options, but unfortunatly it fails at some point and leaves me in uncertainty why it stops and which files are not restored. Quite shocking.

Therefor I am searching for some more advanced methods to extract from the backup. What else do we have?

2. Restore via QuDedup Extract Tool (Win, Mac, Ubuntu)
Tried this, but it is quite slow as it is running on a different mashine connect via network. Also it lacks some options HBS3 has:

3. Mount qdff folder in "File Station" on Qnap
I was excited to have this option to be able to browse/extract/etc files from linux cli on Qnap mashine
But this does not work, too. Even though my QuDedub-backup ist localy stored (internal Volume), mounting gives an error which is complete nonsense "Failed to connect to remote server. Please check your connection"

Is there any cli method to mount the backup?
