I attached an external drive via usb to my TVS-672XT, formatted it as exFat with encryption, then ran a backup to it.
When I attach the drive to Linux I’m prompted for the encryption password and after entering it I can read all the backed up data fine. However, when I attach the drive to a Mac the prompt says “The disk inserted was not readable by this computer”.
Does anyone know how I can decrypt this drive when attaching it to a Mac so that the drive can be recognised and the data can be accessed?

That's a shame. Is it possible to use veracrypt containers on an external drive with QNAP? I couldn't find a way within QTS to mount a veracrypt container.

Can someone from QNAP please respond? I either need to be able to mount a drive created in veracrypt on my QNAP TS673 (trying to mount one created on a QNAP TR-004 and other devices), or I will have to return the unit.
The 16-character limit on QNAP encryption for external storage is pathetic, otherwise I would just use it.
