QTS 4.5.4.1723
HDP 1.2.3
ESXI 6.0.0 update 3 (all licensed)
I get success with some VMs and not with others. One Ubuntu succeeds - and all logs I can see in VMware and QNAP just look simple and on-track. Another Ubuntu fails - looks good in VMware but gets an error in HDP. Same with Windows systems - one works, one does not. Even tried shutting VMs down to see if that's better; same.
Not sure where to be looking for what is causing them to fail and how to fix them.

I would not use that program at all, over in the German forum, QNAP has stated that HDP cannot restore VM's with disks larger than 1TB. And they are not able/willing to troubleshoot this

Ew. That is disappointing. We're currently using Veeam and have used VDP (is that what it was called) as well. But it would be so cool if this just worked on the basic stuff - just one more backup option with little effort.
I've tested it for restoring small VMs and it works... if only...
