Directly connect 2 QNAP NAS (TS451 & TS-419P II)

Post by rgupta1963 »

Hi,

I'm trying to connect 2 QNAP devices (TS451 & TS-419P II) using an ethernet cable.
I've setup the 2nd static ip addresses on both devices:-
TS451:
169.254.100.99
255.255.0.0
TS-419
169.254.100.100
255.255.0.0

After making these changes, I'm not able to set-up a file transfer process between the 2 devices.

Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks

Best wishes,

hi,
i want to be able transfer data between the 2 devices which are directly connected using a RG45 cable on the 2nd interface - at the moment I'm using my PC to map the 2 drives and then copying data, which is really slow.......
Thanks for helping me......

Hi,
I've able to fix the issue by using a different set of IP Addresses - and the data is copying through the direct connection, which is 2 times quicker - many thanks for all your help.
Best wishes,
Rakesh
