Forced outgoing encryption and not allowing unencrypted incoming?

Post by DIY_glenn » Thu Jan 17, 2019 3:29 pm

Hi!

My ISP throttles BT transfers, and I'd like to force the outgoing data to be encrypted, and not allow incoming connections that are unencrypted.

With uTorrent there was an encryption setting which could be set to enabled or forced (I use the latter) and another setting "Allow incoming legacy connections" (unencrypted) which I disabled.

Is this possible with Download Station?

Run a torrent client in VM station or as a container and use selective routing through a VPN tunnel* (I do it via my ASUS router with merlin firmware) .. works great

alternatively use download station and QVPN and tunnel traffic via VPN* directly on the NAS

(VPN provier access needs to be purchased separately)

Yes, I've used a LXC, but I was wondering what is possible with the built-in option? I can't seem to find any information regarding in-/outgoing encryption.
