Re: Slow downloadspeeds on QVPN
That is one of the reasons I decided to run Wireguard on a Raspberry Pi. No speed issues and very reliable.

So, your raspberry is the wireguard Server ? How do you connect the Nas to it ?

Re: Slow downloadspeeds on QVPN
You don’t. The VPN server on the RPI allows me to safely access the NAS (and other devices on my lan) when I am outside the lan. I didn’t want to buy a router that had vpn server capability and I didn’t want to put additional load on the NAS by installing it on that.Nathan.OTN wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 3:39 pm So, your raspberry is the wireguard Server ? Re: Slow downloadspeeds on QVPN
Man, this is exactly what I am trying to do !
Can you give me some details about how you are doing that ? Wich soft on Raspberry ? Which parameters you set on your router ?
Here is a scheme:
How do you access 192.168.1.102 from 192.168.2.13 ? I assume I have to put Wireguard on the Computer, but then how do you reach 192.168.1.102 through the Raspberry ?
Thanks !

Once the Wireguard client is installed on your device with the credentials file then accessing your lan remotely is a case of turning it on. There is just one on/off switch on the client. One port needs to be opened for the vpn server on your router.

Re: Slow downloadspeeds on QVPN
OH, thanks !
The VPN Server creates a sub network on 10.8.0.X right ? Don't you have to connect the NAS to this network ? You can directly access to all your lan devices without any other setting ? I mean, on the scheme I've published, when I power On the raspberry, I can directly ping 192.168.1.102 from 192.168.2.13 ?
