Download Station Stopped Downloading

Post by Fireblade69 »

Hi

Anyone experienced a similar issue?

Download Station was working fine and no changes have been made but all of a sudden downloads the file detail but does not download. Interestingly the same torrent file downloads from utorrent on Macbook Pro on same network.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Yup, mines the same. May have been like that for more than a week. I've even just reset the whole NAS and started again. Did think it was my ISP blocking, but like yourself, downloaded torrents via Transmission on my Mac and all good. Even gone back and re-enabled admin account which I normally disable by default?

Hi Fireblade69, like you, I don't think I had done anything to my TS-119. Nevertheless, today had reset to default and even initialised the damn thing and still couldnt get Download Station to actually download or seed anything. I could put torrents into it but they would just sit there. After much time wasting, I then created a standard user account, logged into that and dragged the torrent file across, it then asked where i wanted to create the task> home was the default, so i changed to Download. But then I couldnt see the tasks in DS, so out of interest logged out of that account and back into the default admin and they were their in DS downloading away!!!

Bizarre, maybe just re-enabled some permissions/file folder thing that flip flopped off, who knows?

Good luck!

Any solution to this? Is it possible its related to the torrent being on https rather than http? Anything to do with not trusting the certificate?

I have same problem. Torrent hosting website said that they have gone to https. (which I don't know what it means), but it stop working. Has any one know if different setting of Qnap Download could get it work or if there's any Qnap app package that would work. Thanks.
