Why the speed is 0~2KB/s for all my download tasks ?????
Please check your settings:
(1) Port-forwarding: (a or b)
a. Manual port-forwarding:
Check if you have forwarded the BT port range on your NAT router to the LAN IP address of your NAS.
b. UPnP Auto port-forwarding:
Did you enable the UPnP auto-port forwarding on your NAS, and enable the UPnP function on your NAT router?
(2) Go to Network Settings > TCP/IP Configuration
a. Did you input the Default Gateway?
It should be your NAT router's IP address.
(If you didn't input it, your QNAP NAS doesn't know where to send the traffic out !!)
b. Did you configure the DNS IP? (ex: Pri: 168.95.1.1 , sec: 168.95.192.1)
(Lots of the torrent trackers' address are in URL names, without DNS server your QNAP NAS doesn't know how to have the names resolved to IP address )

I also have the same problem that 0~2kbyte per sec.
I did set default gateway and Primary & Secdonary DNS.
What is port forwarding? I think I miss this part in my routher setting. Can you give more guideline?
Thanks.

If you're using a LinkSys wired router (ie BEFSR81, etc), I believe you have to go into the router configuration under "Security" and set the "Block Anonymous Internet Requests" to DISABLED (default is ENABLED). When you're done downloading, DISABLE this function again to hide your router and ports.
I did an unattended download of a 700MB BitTorrent file last night through the TS409 Pro over a DSL internet connection (best download rates I see via PC are in the 150-175KB/s range) and it was completed within 6 hours overnight - so the download rate was at least 32KB/s... I'll have to check the file to see if it shows when the download was completed, as it probably took far less than 6 hours. If it took three hours the rate would be about 64KB/s.
Why I can't get the 130-140KB/s download rate I get through uTorrent on my PC is still a question, though... what's throttling the TS409??

Like the others, when I updated to the newest firmware release, I got closer to my expected 150-160KB/s download rate.

Re: Why the speed is 0~2KB/s for all my download tasks ?????
I have the TS-101
I have 5 big Torrents (each > 15 GB) running. If i start this torrents on my PC , i am downloading with fullspeed (1600 kb/s)
But on the TS-101 i get a maximum downloadrate of 150 kb/s
The BT Ports are opened and forwarded to the NAS. the DNS and gateway are also configured.
What can i make to accelerate the Downloads?

Hi! I also use NAS TS-101
I think the problem is not on the settings,
it is because NAS Download system is without DHT network,
it can only transfer data through trackers,
but nowadays plenty of data transfer trough DHT network,
that's why the speed is greatly affected
If it had DHT network,
can anyone tell me how to enable ?

On the TS-101 you can't activate DHT!

why?eXcited wrote:On the TS-101 you can't activate DHT!
besides, some torrents cannot download, "ERROR!"
most of the problems are trackers connection time out,
but I wonder why cannot automatically reconnet !

If you feel more or less comfortable on the command line you can try to install an alternative BitTorrent client. I installed Transmission on my TS-101 and it's working great
