external subtitles (.srt) over DLNA server

Post by Dilshan » Wed Aug 14, 2019 4:14 pm

Dear forum,

I have a 4 bay TS431P

I ma trying to add external SRT files to videos. From my reading I wanted to know if you have to have a NAS that supports transcoding to do this. The reason I asked this that on the manuals it states you need a Codexpack to support this. I think the 431P does not support this. Is correct.

My screenshot shows that there is no option to enable subtitle embedding in my DLNA advanced settings.

It is supposed to look like this on the QNAP website.
https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/tutorial ... -dlnaupnp/

Am I doing something wrong or does the 431P not support this option.

Thanks in advance
