Regretting upgrading firmware to QTS 5.0.0.2055
I have a QNAP TS-673A and I upgraded the firmware to QTS 5.0.0.2055 and now it appears it was a mistake. With the older QTS 4.5.3.1670 I had no issues with DLNA streaming to any of my DLNA devices. After upgrading and updating all the necessary apps, the streamed videos keep stuttering. Anybody else encountered this and figured out the cause? I want to revert to the prior QTS firmware but am not sure if it is safe to do so. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Odd... After a couple of days, DLNA seems to be working on all my devices now. Maybe the NAS was busy "updating" itself and now that it has been awhile it has settled down.

Maybe it was reindexing. If it happens again, check the resource monitor on your NAS. It could have been ** the CPU or RAM causing the stuttering.
(Also, for future reference, you may want to consider downgrading the firmware if it doesn't perform as expected. Meaning, ensure you have a good backup plan and it's a great idea to store copies of firmware that you know work well for you, along with saved configuration files, in case you need them. It never hurts to be prepared for this possibility, even of rarely required.)
