How to troubleshoot Plex installation?

Post by ljCharlie »

I keep getting the following message when adding media folder.

"Your change could not be saved."

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Probably best to open a thread in the Plex forums, not enough info to even start troubleshooting

- NAS unit
- Plex installation (Native,Container,VM)
- Error logs
- etc

Never got such message but I am installing Plex often
Is this message only for this path or for another one also?

Okay, so I downloaded the latest version from Plex.tv and it seems to work...at least for that particular folder path. However, I got into another issue. Whenever I launched Plex app from with the QuTS, I'm getting this error. Is there some settings that I need configure? Thanks!

try the following
go to plex.tv and sign in to your account
then go to settings and check can you see your servers?
and in general what do you see there where is the information about the server?

I am able to log to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/account but on the left side, it showed this...seems like it's unable to connect to my NAS server.

However, I'm able to log into my NAS via local IP address and through myqnapcloud.com so I'm not sure why it's unable to connect.

Make sure you disable cloud login for your NAS UI asap(remove the port forwards and disable upnp), or you find yourself in the malware threads sooner or later !

Okay, so I tried to sign off from the myqnapcloud and now I can't log into my NAS via the local IP address.

I type: http://192.168.1.119:8080/cgi-bin/ in the browser and it redirects me to https://192.168.1.119/redirect.html?cou ... 6503241775 and gave me the following error.

I think that's because I checked the box force to use https. If that's the cause, is there a way to log back in to uncheck this box?

So, basically what I did was unregistered to myQNAPCloud.com. But how is this affecting my local login?

Qnap has special software QFINDER - install it and try to connect to NAS via it
