Twonky no longer working TS110 fw4.2.5

My TS110 recently upgraded to 4.2.5 and Twonky no longer works. The twonky app is still on the desktop, and the server is apparently running, but my dlna clients cannot see it. I gather Twonky was removed in 4.3.x but I'm on 4.2.x.

The built in dlna server works ok but doesn't show the .jpg thumbnails, instead it shows thumbs generated from random still frames in the content which looks rubbish. Can I somehow configure it to use .jpg thumbnails?

I hate it when companies remove functionality in fw updates without warning you first. I wouldn't mind if the built in dlna server displayed thumbs properly, but this is a big step backwards.

free license was removed, twonky needs to be purchased now (check the forum next time before your post please)

Some people seem to have problems reading too, I'm still on 4.2.x.

Fixed it anyhow.

free twonky was also removed in 4.2.x .. so it does not matter

No it wasn't.

yes it was .. besides finding old archived (3rd party hosted) version with the license key inside, try finding a licensed qpkg for twonky anywhere on the twonky website, app center or qnap website.. you will not

shortly after the announcement all qpkg packages were removed from all official sources, twonky later added unlicensed versions back into their download website

I still have it after upgrading to 4.2.5 yesterday. It was not removed.

check if it is still the full incense or the 30day trail

anyways, if you need to reinstall or upgrade, as said before, all licensed version were removed
