DLNA issue after firmware update

Post by alexflibero »

HI, i'm working with a with my 419P II from over 2 years without problems and now after the firmware update my Sinto AV Yamaha RXV775 is not more able to connect to DLNA.
I have followed all the instructions, starting the multimedia catalog and so on but the server DLNA is visible in random mode. Some times it works some times not. I know many other users have the same problem starting from the 4.3 release. Could you please take a look and fix the problem ?

are you addressing the community or QNAP? QNAP Support is not here. Cumminity Forum means that it is Users of QNP on these forums. if you really need QNAP then go here: https://helpdesk.qnap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit

firstly lets get some information...

What Firmware did you come from. Version and build number.

what version are you running now Version and Build Number. (the "latest" will not do)

what DLNA player were you using?

QNAPs built in Media Player, Twonky or some other DLNA player?

if you care to read the forums, you will see plenty of users had this issue and we told - if using Twonky - that Twonky is no longer supported by QNAP.

the "free license" customers were expecting has gone. If you want Twonky, then goto http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/8.4.1/ and download the one for your model.

you will however need to pay Twonky $20 or €20 for the privilege.

there are other DLNA free players you will need to check them out. https://www.qnapclub.eu/
