I was very surprised to only find DLNA support available, since this is a fairly useless protocol, which is why Chromecast never supported it. The DIAL (DIscovery And Launch) protocol created by Netflix is what Chromecast supports and is much more powerful; for example, try pausing a movie that's streaming through DLNA and continue it on another device -- impossible.
Is anyone working on DIAL support for any QNAP NAS devices?

Re: DIAL Support

not sure what issue you have with DLNA, I use it almost daily(twonky) .. works like a charm
