Thanks AlterSwede. I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Here the same problem with firmware 4.3.5.0760 and App 430.1.8.2

Here it is what Qnap wrote to me:

Thank you for contacting QNAP support.

We have other similar cases, it is likely a bug.

I have asked our RD department to look at your case.

I will keep you informed of any advancement.

Thank you.

Can be easily fixed adding this to autorun script:

Code: Select all

/sbin/setcfg -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf -c QDMS Enable TRUE

Depends on your NAS model, hence link on "autorun" :)

I just submitted a ticket this morning as well. I am not using the latest firmware 4.3.5 as I have a 269, and so I am using the latest firmware I am able (4.3.4), however the app is the 430.1.8.2 latest version.

I was not able to have it auto start or manually start it. Restarts and disabling some other apps did not seem to make a difference.

did you go through the procedure mentioned on the very bottom there ?
All AL-based NAS(TS-x31+ and TS-x31X) and TS-x31 use ...

ubiattach -m 6 -d 2
/bin/mount -t ubifs ubi2:config /tmp/config
vi /tmp/config/autorun.sh
chmod +x /tmp/config/autorun.sh
echo .
echo "unmounting /tmp/config..."
umount /tmp/config
ubidetach -m 6
