I have qnap TS-251A with qts 4.3.6. I've configured my DLNA and multimedia adding many media folders that I'd like to be available through DLNA.
Unfortunately, clients can only see media from exactly 30 media folders, while I have much more.
When I check the media library index, it shows that missing folders are indexed. I've also checked that access rights are identical in those folder I can see via DLNA and those I cannot see via DLNA. Does anyone knows if there is some kind of limit to 30 folders? I've made the library rebuild, but this did not help. I would appreciate any help.

Re: dlna shows only 30 media folders
AFAIK, there is no limit... I have over 50 subfolders on my NAS and my DLNA clients can see all of them fine.
Are the folders in the root directory?

Re: dlna shows only 30 media folders
i think i read on plex about why dlna would not properly index all the content. They said something like DLNA needs a simple structure to work properly, and ideally with not too many stuff or something. I can't find the link, but i reckon it's something like that. here is just some of the limitations mentioned

my media folder for videos, isn't just simply dumping videos under video folder. I also have 1-3 sub folder depth, thats probably why i too have issues with dlna indexing my stuff.
I switched over to smb, and don't have a single issue.
