iTunes Library Extras.itdb in locked

Having moved my entire iTunes folder to the Qnap HS-453DX NAS, itunes was just about seeing and playing from it until i received the message that a file is locked and I can no longer access iTunes as it needs a library. This is hard work as very little information about this online.
