DLNA not showing files
After updating to firmware QTS 4.4.1.1064, Multimedia Console has replaced Multimedia Management app. Not sure if it's because of this, but has anybody else also experienced that DLNA media server isn't working as it should? I have a LG smart tv that connects to the Qnap TS-453Be via DLNA. After the firmware update, the video application in the TV does not longer recognize files via DLNA. It only shows the folders, but no files. Does anybody else experience this and have a workaround or way to fix it?

Re: DLNA not showing files
I've never used the built in QNAP App. always found it problematic.
I use Twonky Server (paid version) and its never let me down.
there are other apps out there if you care to look.

Re: DLNA not showing files
Installing Plex Media Server didn't help either. When adding my library there, again only the folders are found and not the files. This looks like some fundamental problem with indexing the files that all the different media server apps are dependent on. I did submit a ticket on this, but surprised that no one else are experiencing this?
I also followed the guide on this page, and it stll doesn't work:

Re: DLNA not showing files
following that instruction is only for Multimedia Management app, and not Multimedia Console. I guess no one uses QNAP's own DLNA player.
as to Plex, users have already stated plex is not working with the new 4.4.1 as yet. no doubt Plex will need to compile a new version that works with this firmware.

Re: DLNA not showing files
But have you tried adding new files to library after the firmware update and they still show up?
Because after I updated the firmware, no new added files showed up. But the shared files that already were there before the firmware update were still there. Only when I rebuilt index on all the shared files, then they all disappeared.

Re: DLNA not showing files
I have the same problem. Can't see my files after the update from my smart TV or media servers (PS3, WD Live Hub). Trying re-indexing...didn't help on my setup.

Re: DLNA not showing files
I am usually not technically 'stupid', and in this case my gut feeling tells me there is something fundamentally wrong this time with the firmware which has affected this part of the system. And its nothing we as regular users can work around. But still I am quite curious how you, dolbyman, got it working? I went to the plex site and could not find the version you referred to, only latest update version 1.16.6.1592-b9d49bdb7 for Qnap from August 29th. Any way you could elaborate or link to the version of Plex Media Server you are using thanks

Re: DLNA not showing files
Thanks for the link Too bad I don't have the plexpass exclusive option, I guess Plex did something smart with that version of PMS to work around the problem created by the newest Qnap firmware.dolbyman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 1:04 pm could be a plexpass exclusive..I am a lifetime subscriber

You should also submit a ticket to Qnap, I still believe they have messed up somehow the code beneath with the newest firmware.

Re: DLNA not showing files
My last attempt would be to try and do a "Reset settings", although I still feel it won't help and in the worst case it corrupts or erases all the valuable files I have on my Qnap server..then I would have a heart attack
