Questions for Setting up DLNA

Post by cosmarchy »

Hi,

I'm looking for some help setting up DLNA on my TS-453BE.

The first thing is that I am getting two additional folders as shown here which are marked SMB - as they are not required, how do I disable these?

The second thing is that the Photos and Music folders here are empty and a bit pointless showing them so is there a way to hide or disable these?

Lastly, how to I set up permissions for multiple users? I have three users who will use a particular device yet I have not been prompted for a username and password when using the VLC android app. I basically want the ability for each user to login using their username and be presented with their own videos - is this possible???

Thanks

Not really something to use with DLNA

Switch to something like Plex and you will have all sorts of user options/restrictions

I use MinimServer on the NAS to access my music collection.
