I have an issue with my QNAP. I am unable to download / open files using QFile. I don't know how long it has been going on but I know it wasn't an issue as recently as a month ago.
Steps to reproduce:
Open QFile
Navigate to the location of the file I want to open (e.g., a Word document - docx)
Tap the file to open it
Error!
This happens on iPhone, iPad, iPad Pro. The error is:
Download failed. Please check the network connection
It also happens on Android. The error is:
Downloading failed! Waiting to retry
Windows 10 is fine.
I should also add it this happens with Excel (XLS/x) and PDF files also ----- but not with all files. There is a DOCX in the same folder that is an earlier revision of one of the "problem" documents. In other words, create doc-1 and save. Save doc-1 as doc-2. I can open doc-1 but not doc-2.
Permissions are identical on both the "good" and the "bad" documents.
I searched the Forum and found this issue was posted before but there is no resolution.

QNAP did not help with the last 3 tickets I opened so my confidence in them isn't very high.

apps are closed source...developed by qnap and "tested" by apple/google
there is nothing this forum could do to fix any issues
