QMUSIC - Volume jumps to maximum when playing

Hello,
I tried using QMusic on Android phone to stream music from (TS-219P II) Music Station to a Cambridge Audio Minx Xi via Wi-Fi.
When clicking on a song, playback starts at the maximum volume possible on the Minx, despite low volume setting on phone. Almost blew up my speakers a couple of times and caused my neighbour downstairs a panic attack With the out of the box Android music app it plays just fine. Anyone else encountered this ?

Yes. There are a few situations which can cause this. To me it is also annoying, that the hardware volume keys do not work if the music is played via the Nas and not the smartphone. Bubbleupnp performs a lot better in that respect but cannot be used because the Nas does not allow access to its renderer/line out to other apps but qmusic.
