Nothing, it’s a default setup. And the options from the router are fairly limited

Also as the laptop can see the iPad when pinging I would say that is likely to rule out any potential separation.

I’m having issues accessing my NAS locally on my iPad.

I can access it locally on both my iPhone and computer without any issues, and can connect via myqnapcloud using the Qfile app.

When on my iPad I can navigate to our router 192.168.... but it just times out when connecting to the NAS. Weirdly when pinging my iPad from the computer I get no response (even though I’m connected to the network)

The only change since this last worked is that I have moved house and now have a different router. But the fact my iPhone connects without any problems suggests it’s not the router.

Appreciate any help/advice people can give!

Model: TS-251+
Firmware: 4.4.3.1381

iPad Pro iOS 13.6

Thanks,
Dan
Are you trying to access the NAS using Safari, Qmanager, Qfile, or....?

iOS devices typically do not respond to ping, so don't read much into that.

If you have not done so already, install Net Analyzer on the iPad from the App Store and the try to ping and scan your NAS IP address from the iPad. The Net Analyzer tests should look similar to this:

If you can not ping or scan the NAS from the iPad, then there is probably a wifi network issue at play.

Another option is to install tcpdump (Entware opgk) on the NAS and see if the ping/http requests are reaching the NAS network interface card.

That app was a great call!
I could see it was my switch that was blocking the iPad so after checking I could see it had been blocked by MAC address which in turn meant it couldn’t reach my NAS or PC that were connected to it. I gave all my devices an alias so I didn’t accidentally block anything.... obviously forgot one device!
