5.0.0.1828 on TS-251+ killed my raspberry pi cluster having iSCSI block devices

The RPI (raspberry pi) iSCSI clients can login and authorize over mutual CHAP, but after that I'm unable to troubleshoot.

If I try to ssh into one of them, the connection fails with ```/bin/bash: Permission denied```. So I mount the iSCSI device onto another client and change the ```/etc/passwd``` shell to ```/bin/sh``` for the relevant user, and I am able to access the system. However, built-in shell commands fail with a short 'Bus error', and calls to programs, like ```cat``` or ```/bin/bash``` etc. fail with ```Permission denied```.

I'm not able to downgrade the firmware to see if that caused the devastation. When I try to downgrade, I get a "Failed to update system. Model mismatch. Error code: 32." And yes, I downloaded an earlier firmware for TS-251+.
