Iscsi combo cifs shares

Post by patrick_brem »

Hi,

Hope you guys can help me.
I have a TS-1263U-RP. Firmware 4.2.3.

what i have at the moment is 1 storagepool with 4x8GB on raid 5.

i use the device only as fileserver. i installed the device with shared folders with authentication over AD
this works as it should be.

now i need it connected over Iscsi where i can see all the shared folders. i only need read access!
after searching the internet i am not sure if this is possible.

The goal is to connect all the shares over iscsi to my Veeam backup server.

is there anyone around who can tell me if this is even possible and how to proceed?

Regards,

Patrick

iscsi is block level storage, the shares on your NAS are file level, you can't mix those
