iSCSI disconnect after windows 10 reboot

Post by yinxiaoke »

Dear all,
I have setup several iSCSI targets on QNAP TVS-871 with CHAP authentication. Then connect them through 1Gbps network of our company from windows computers. On 2 Windows 7 computer with static IP, there's no problem after reboot. but on 1 Windows 10 computer with DHCP, after I reboot the iSCSI disk disappeared and need to be reconnected using iSCSI initiator (it shows inactive).
Does anyone have the similar problem and any solution?

update: I had made a new target then move the LUN to that one and now connect without any problem. don't know why.

Thanks!

Xiaoke

I assume you know you should never use DHCP when using ISCSI/LUNs

Thanks for reminding me.
The DHCP server assigns fixed IP address to the involved NAS and computers. Is this OK?
