Microsoft iSCSI won't connect after reboot "Authorization Failure".

I have a Windows 2016 server connecting to a LUN on my QNAP TVS-1271U-RP. I have the "Allow clustering access to the target from multiple initiators" unchecked because I'm not using a cluster-aware file system. It's only this one Windows server connecting to this target. If I reboot the Windows server it won't reconnect the iSCSI and gives an error of "Authorization Failure" when I try to manually reconnect it.

The only way I can get it to connect again is to reboot the QNAP NAS which obviously is less than ideal and isn't going to work for us.

I'm not using CHAP and I'm not using iSCSI ACL. What can I do to fix this?

Ideally you should disconnect the target before rebooting the Windows server.
It is only this host that has this problem?
If you create a second smaller LUN/target does the same thing happen?

That error is usually chap associated.
Can you create a new target and attach the LUN to it, then reconnect to the server/ISCSI initiator?
