Hello team,

I new in this technology and my english is not good, I will try to explain myself in the best possible way.
Here we go...
I have the following scenario..

1 QNAP TS-131p // Firm: 4.3.6.0979
1 CAM Bosch NDN-50022-A3 // Firm: 6.23.0003
1 CAM Bosch NUC-51022-F2 // Firm: 6.23.0003

Configuration Manager v05.43.0238.0

The problem is, when I will try tu conect the Bosch camera with ISCSI in the QNAP, I received the error: the ISCSI device is password protected...

I think the correct password is the same I use to acces to QNAP system, i hope someone can give me some way to resolve this problem or maybe I made some wrong in the configurations

Regards in advance

don't think ISCSI is a good idea, you would need two LUN's for your two cameras and in order to access your footage the LUNs need to be unmounted from your cameras

no SMB/NFS/FTP option on those cams ?

you have to create two targets for the cameras

might be better to go with a nvr system (qnap has qvr or surveilance station)

Why two LUNs? Completely unnecessary. I don't think you understand ISCSI.
One PC/server presents a share say E:\ to cameras.

One LUN/formatted volume and two folders

Anyway none of this makes sense, so how will the cameras connect to the host, they have to support some file protocol.

no .. I do grasp iscsi block storage

the cameras (i quickly skimmed the manual) have an iscsi initiator interface in their config

but if two cameras access the same iscsi target ..would that reak havok on the target ?

the cameras apparently only support

sd recording
iscsi recording
onvif access

Apologies! I am shamed!

Interesting, I never knew some cameras had ISCSI initiators!
Did Op format the LUN? I see format is not ticked.
Amazed anyone would try ISCSI on TS-131P!

jmerlos887,

There should be no ISCSI password unless you set one via CHAP.
Can you connect to any other initiator? Windows PC say?

Just yesterday I realized that detail, the conections is working on and cameras are recording in qnap

The problem was that.
I was putting a password but it was not necessary as you tell me

I thank you very much everybody
