Shrinking stops iscsi

Post by stuartbrand »

This may be a bug, or maybe this is normal.

I have a TS-453pro with 4 8TB drives in RAID5

I have 3 LUNs connected to servers using iscsi and a data volume. The iscsi are block devices, not files on the data volume.

I set the data volume to resize and this in turn this has disabled the iscsi service!

Resizing from 21TB to 15TB has taken 5 days so far, it may be finished today.

The problem is, while it is resizing the data volume, the iscsi LUNs are offline! therefore taking out my servers as they the root files systems for the servers!

Is this a bug, or is it meant to take out iscsi LUNs? even though they are not related to the data volume?

Thanks

Stuart
